Welcome to The Fasting Author!
I'm a romance author who's passionate about maintaining health and wellness - both the physical and mental kind - so that we can stay at the top of our creative game. I've been writing for more than fifteen years and in that time I've developed a few tips and tricks to stay healthy and I'd love to share them with you.
I guess you're wondering about the fasting bit in the title, right? Does it mean I'm a particularly quick typist? Maybe I write while I'm sprinting on my treadmill? Well, it's kind of a long story, and I'll get into the nitty gritty of it in the next post. Suffice to say, it's part of my quest to stay fit and healthy, and it's been pretty life changing.
Each week I'll share a couple of different things. Some days I'll bring you a tip about maintaining and increasing your physical health. We'll look at everything from chairs to lighting, desks and computer screens, to timers that remind you to move. On alternate weeks I'll share some things that work for me and my creative health - how to plan and set goals, how to focus when you need to and unwind when you can. You can find the posts sorted by topic at the top of the blog.
These won't be long blog posts, though, just really quick ideas so that you can get back to work with some ideas to make it a happier and healthier process.
